The weekly
Post-Transcriptional Regulatory Mechanisms Journal Club reads current and
classic papers with a focus on mRNA export from the nucleus, mRNA surveillance
and turnover mechanisms, and the mechanisms of translation initiation,
elongation, and termination. An emphasis is placed on reading papers that
utilize a wide range of experimental approaches to the study of these
scientific problems. Students will select papers to present with input
from the coursemasters. The journal clubs meets every Tuesday from 10:30 AM to
11:30 AM in the Bevill Biomedical Research Building.
