Biography

Thomas R. Unnasch received his A.B. from Rutgers University in 1976, and Ph.D. from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 1981. After obtaining his Ph.D., he spent 3 years as a Postdoctoral fellow at Harvard University. In 1985, he joined the faculty of the Division of Geographic Medicine at Case Western University as an Assistant Professor. He joined the faculty at UAB's Division of Geographic Medicine as an Associate Professor in 1989. His outside interests include fly fishing, classical music and woodworking.
