Yao Chen obtained his M.S. degree in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from Nanjing University, P.R. China. He entered the Microbiology Graduate Program through the Cellular and Molecular Biology Program. Yao is in Dr. John Kearney's laboratory where he is studying the function of human terminal deoxynucleotide transferase (TdT) and its expression in leukemia.
