Angela Fowlkes received her B.S. degree from Alabama State University. She entered the Microbiology Graduate Program through the Cellular and Molecular Biology Graduate Program. Angela's lab studies are focused on the role of Dectin-1 in B-cell mediated and human monocyte/macrophage responses to Pneumocystis carinii, and the role of several T-cell activators in the development of CD4+ T-cell mediated immunity to Pneumocystis carinii.
