David James received his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Florida, where he majored in Microbiology & Cell Science with a minor in Chemistry. He entered the Microbiology Graduate Program through the Cellular and Molecular Biology Program. David’s studies in the laboratory of Dr. Janet Yother focus on understanding Streptococcus pneumoniae, serotype 2, capsule genetics and biosynthesis.
