Brett Pickett received his B.S. in Microbiology from Brigham Young University in 2005. He entered the Department of Microbiology through the Cellular and Molecular Biology Program. He is conducting his research in the lab of Elliot Lefkowitz where he is studying the evolution of various flaviviruses, especially the Dengue and West Nile viruses, through the utilization of computational techniques.
