Julia Schmitz obtained her B.S. degree in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology in 2003 from Sweet Briar College. Julia is in the laboratory of Dr. Robin Lorenz where she is studying the role of the immune response to Helicobacter infection in the development of gastric adenocarcinoma.
